Artificial Intelligence (AI) specialist Kneron announced the launch of its KNEO platform on July 16, combining state-of-the-art AI devices with blockchain technology to create secure and private personal networks.
The Kneron Neural-network Edge-AI Open platform also creates digital assets from personal data that can be exchanged or sold to corporations who wish to do so.

The sensors connected to blockchain create a private network
KNEO uses block chain technology to connect a number of sensors or edge AI stems, such as cameras, microphones and thermal sensors.
The term „edge AI“ refers to systems that process the algorithms locally, rather than sending data for remote processing. This means that KNEO does not require an Internet connection, and all data collected is encrypted and secured in an individual private network.
A central application can control the stems and they are connected to enhance each other’s capabilities while working together and sharing data.

Marketplace for selling custom applications and collected data
Kneron has also introduced an AI marketplace on Google Play and iOS to encourage the open source community to develop applications that update, alter or combine AI devices to perform specific tasks.
Possible use cases include monitoring home energy use, health and preventive care, auto maintenance, home security and many more.
The market will also connect consumers to businesses that want to purchase or use their Bitcoin Rush data in the form of digital assets. Driving data collected over a year may be exchanged for discounts on car insurance, or shopping, lifestyle and consumer data may be sold to advertisers, brands or market researchers.

Education is key
KNEO will also be part of AI education at universities. Leading universities in the United States, Taiwan and Hong Kong already use Kneron technology in AI development courses.
Developers and hobbyists can start building applications with just a KNEO stem and a Raspberry Pi.
Artificial intelligence has existed as a concept for a hundred years, although recent advances in networking, processing performance, and storage have seen a lot of practical improvements.
The combination of AI and blockchain to create secure AI networks for private consumers marks a convergence of two of the most promoted technologies for the future.
